Management interventions
The executive management in High Street Capital all come from a background of hands-on management. We have had considerable success in running companies across a variety of sectors over many years. Specifically, this experience has been in the following areas:
Contracting – process engineering and road surfacing
Manufacturing – cosmetics, detergents, and a variety of engineering type products
Distribution of agency related products – direct selling and marketing
Media – primarily in film and related service industries
Education – in the digital space
Acquisitions, mergers and sales of businesses
Financial management including recapitalizations, cost optimization and leveraging
General management including human resources, marketing and sales
We identify businesses with short term challenges and we actively work with management in a hands-on day-to-day capacity to optimally position the company going forward. A critical part of this process is often to identify and develop succession management to allow High Street executives to hand back responsibility to management.
High Street Capital generally charges a below-market related fee as and an option to share in the performance based upside.
Investments in smaller companies
High Street Capital acquires equity stakes in smaller, high growth companies. These are generally new companies with big growth opportunities or established companies that have the potential to grow to a new level.
The High Street Capital involvement will typically be via the provision of capital funding and strategic management support. Fees may be waived depending on the size of the company involved.
We look for ambitious management and good strategic positioning. Again, we prefer to focus into areas where we have experience, contacts and sector knowledge.
Traditional Private Equity Investments
High Street Capital also invests in quality companies that do not necessarily need executive intervention. Sector preference is based on our prior experience with the emphasis on growth, strong cash flows and quality management.
