Over the years of High Street Capital’s existence, strong working relationships with a number of top executive managers have developed. In most investments, whether turnarounds, start-ups or  growth opportunities, High Street Capital places key executives in critical roles where it has been necessary to complement in-house skills 

JAMES WHITEHOUSE

(Bsc.Chem.Eng)

James spent 8 successful years in the engineering sector before moving into general managment. He co-founded Amrite Investments in 2005 specifically to acquire Sasani Limited. 

He has been instrumental in several turnarounds and start-ups across a range of diverse industries from marketing and selling of consumer products to film and television production, road surfacing and welding supply distribution. He is currently the Chairman of the Ebor Automotive businesses.

James plays a leading role in finding, evaluating and implementing deals. He has built up a close working association with a strong group of experienced managers who are able to be utilised in a wide variety of roles at relatively short notice. His hands-on experience in driving a wide variety of ventures has resulted in a practical knowledge of most of the facets of South African and African business.

ANDREW ROY

(B.Comm, CA(SA))

Andrew Roy, better known as Tubby, had 10 years in financial markets with INet, UAL Securities and Coronation Securities before moving into general commerce for 11 years. This involved experience at both Financial Director and Managing Director of the CHC Group and Managing Director of NCS Resins. 

Much of his operational experience with CHC across manufacturing, commodity trading and distribution activities focused on the stabilisation, improvement and disposal of the various operations. 

Tubby participated as a minority shareholder in NCS alongside Investec Principal Investments until its incorporation into Ferro SA. He is currently responsible for the Cashnet Logistics group of companies.

Michael WHITEHEAD

(B.A., L.L.B),

High Street’s offshore partner, Michael Whitehead, lives in France and plays a prominent role in the international activities of High Street Capital.

Michael Patchitt

(B.Comm)

Michael Patchitt, is the Chief Investment Officer of  High Street Capital’s sister-company, High Street Asset Management.

Lizel Simpson

(B.Comm CA(SA))

Lizel Simpson spent ten years in the chemical and supply chain industry during her time at CHC Group eventually becoming Finance Director. She joined High Street in 2016 where she currently heads up the Finance and Administration department.
